Methoxy Polyethylene Glycol Mpeg 2000
Methoxy Polyethylene Glycol 2000 is a waxy white to slightly yellowish solid at room temperature. The Product is soluble in water and commonly used organic solvents like Aceton and Methanol.
M-type polyglycols are used for a wide variety of chemical reactions. With isocyanates and polyesters they act as an endcap and hydrophilic component. When they react with unsaturated monomers like acrylic or methacrylic acid, esters are formed which can be copolymerized to increase hydrophilicity and improve dispersing properties of polymers in water. Due to the low concentration of diols in Polyglykol M- types there is almost no formation of di-esters during the reaction with unsaturated organic acids.
